The Golden Nugget has a strict policy against underage gambling. Colorado state law prohibits anyone (patron or vendor) under the age of 21 from entering a gaming area. Any person attempting to enter the gaming area appearing to be 35 years of age or younger, could be requested to present identification to validate their age.
Guest privacy and welfare are a top priority at The Golden Nugget. We respect our guest’s need for privacy while we remain focused on supporting the health and welfare of our guests and team members by reserving the right to conduct a welfare check on any room that had a PRIVACY sign for more than 48 hours. In addition, the management reserves the right to enter any room even if the PRIVACY sign is displayed, for maintenance, safety, security or any other purpose.
For security reasons, no carry-ons or backpacks are allowed on the casino gaming floor. Exceptions can be made for medical necessity or the storage of large quantities of currency. If arriving on a bus, bags may be left on the bus. All guests can utilize the secure bag check for any belongings. All bags allowed on the casino gaming floor are subject to inspection.

This policy is designed for the protection of our guests and team members, and pertains to the presence of firearms on resort premises.
The Golden Nugget recognizes that guests or visitors may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes. This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises.
Casino & Hotel premises are private property. Guests or visitors of the Golden Nugget who lawfully are permitted to possess a firearm, may bring such firearm onto hotel premises for storage purposes only. Any guest or visitor who is in possession of a firearm on hotel premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state and local laws with respect to firearms, in the jurisdiction of Louisiana ensuring that the firearm is:
· Unloaded;
· Secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest; and
· Securely safeguarded at all times in a guest room safe (or personal vehicle), except when transporting the firearm into or out of the hotel.
Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises. A blanket exception to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or where applicable, to conceal-carry a firearm.
Additionally, the resort and casino prohibits guests or visitors from carrying weapons (Openly or concealed) on the hotel premises and casino floor.
Hunting rifles, assault weapons and any other combat weaponry are not allowed in the guest rooms. Guest must check them with security.
The Golden Nugget prohibits smoking/vaping marijuana and/or tobacco on hotel property including hotel rooms other than the casino floor. If you or anyone in your party chooses to smoke/vape in the hotel room, a $500.00 refreshing/Deep Cleaning fee will be charged to your account.
Downloading movies using the hotel internet is prohibited.
Animals/pets are not allowed in your hotel room, except for a hotel-approved dog under 20 pounds for an additional nightly fee and security deposit.
Coolers and outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed in your hotel room, pool, or property.
No more than 4 guests, including yourself, can stay in a room. Violating this safety regulation may subject all occupants to leave the hotel room and/or the property.
Parties, excessive noise, and/or disturbances in your hotel room are not permitted. Any violation of hotel policies can lead to additional fees and/or removal from the hotel room and/or property.
Hotel staff might enter hotel rooms for cleaning, maintenance, safety, and security during your stay. For these reasons, the "Do Not Disturb" signage might not be honored by the hotel staff for room entry purposes. Before hotel staff enters a room, they announce themselves and knock on the entry door.
Whether intentional or not, you will be responsible for any missing and/or damaged items from your hotel room. A fee will be charged to your account to pay for the amount of any missing and/or damaged items. If your hotel room undergoes maintenance because of damage during your stay, you will also be responsible for the revenue loss while the hotel room undergoes maintenance
If you are to check out before your scheduled departure date, you must pay a $50.00 early departure fee.
A late check-out fee will apply if you are to check out after your departure date.
Your credit or debit card will be charged nightly upon check-in for your hotel room, daily resort fee, and taxes. An incidental hold will be collected to allow for retail, food, beverage, or other charges to your room account. The unused balance of the incidental hold will be released after check-out. Please note that the Golden Nugget is not responsible for any service charges related to debit card usage.
All complementaries are based on approved qualified casino play and/or your current tier status. You must check with a casino host to determine your eligibility, if any.
